Clarinet lessons are offered for adults of all ages and levels. If you are an adult beginner considering clarinet lessons, remember, it is never too late to start learning music! I have taught many adult beginners that have become proficient clarinetists, playing music for personal enjoyment and even starting bands!
INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCED ADULT CLARINET STUDENTS
If you are an intermediate to advanced adult clarinet student who is focused on classical music, you have the opportunity to explore the standard repertoire and music of the great masters including the Mozart Clarinet Concerto, the Jeanjean Arabesque, the Strauss Romanze, and more. If jazz music is your area of interest, you can delve into the music of Benny Goodman, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, and Charlie Parker.
Whether jazz, classical or popular music is your focus, refining various aspects of tone and technique are always incorporated into the learning process. Basic music theory, rhythm, and chordal structure are covered as the student progresses into more advanced studies, including sight-reading, memorization (songs/solos), and jazz improvisation.
